To keep user credentials safe, certificate authorities require these certificates to be renewed every 12 months.
WHAT ACTION DO I NEED TO TAKE?
  1. After Sunday, May 25th, remove/forget MU_Guest, MU WiFi, and eduroam networks
  2. If you see “Connect using a certificate,” please click this option, otherwise log back in to MU WiFi with your full Marshall email as the username and password.

  1. When you connect to “MU WiFi” after the certificate is renewed, you may be asked to verify and accept the new certificate. The process for verifying and accepting the new certificate varies by device and the operating system installed on the device.
  2. Instructions to accept the new certificate for the most common devices and operating systems can be found on our website. Please make note, you may also need to “forget” your network settings for MU WiFi and reconnect. If you continue to have connection issues, you can also try the troubleshooting tips on our Wi-Fi troubleshooting page.
WHAT IF I DO NOT COMPLETE THESE STEPS?
Failure to renew the certificate could result in the inability of your device to connect to the wireless network.

[INFOSEC ADVISORY]: AVOIDING CURRENT PHISHING ATTEMPTS /it/2025/05/13/phishing/ Tue, 13 May 2025 15:30:07 +0000 /it/?p=18988 Critical Notice:
This morning mass phishing emails (see below) were sent out to Faculty, Staff, and Students from a compromised account. If you went to the link within the email and entered your information, please remain vigilant as the attacker will likely attempt to contact you.

Email Scams demand heightened vigilance:
  1. Job scams frequently ensnare victims under the guise of harmless interactions, but their ulterior motive often revolves around procuring banking information. Remain alert to these deceptive approaches, particularly those urging you to procure gift cards.
  2. Invoice scams present themselves from diverse senders. The objective is to deceive recipients into believing an urgent invoice necessitates immediate payment.
  3. Credential theft scams deploy strategies aimed at persuading individuals to surrender their login credentials willingly. Watch for urgent notifications implying account termination or mailbox capacity issues, tactics commonly utilized by these schemes. Beware that the sign-in pages used often are Google Forms.
